RE/MAX is dedicated to helping to protect the sustainability and environmental well being of our communities - and so am I along with my partner, Brian Maury.
Environmental stewardship is something I care about deeply. After all, there is one home we all share - our Earth. As a certified GREEN Specialist from the National Association of REALTORS, I have completed coursework and training to allow me to help my clients and my community make "greener" choices and to promote environmental awareness in real estate. Additionally, I earned a B.S. Degree in Environmental Science and worked in the environmental industry for roughly 8 years prior to entering the field of real estate.
I encourage anyone who is considering a home remodel or new home build to seek out providers of products and services that encourage environmental sustainability and minimize the impact to the environment - while also reducing your energy costs. There are many ways, both big and small, that we can all make a difference.
The Maryland Energy & Sustainability Co-op is a local organization that can help you achieve these goals. Visit this web site at: www.nrg.coop to learn more.
I encourage all homeowners to obtain an environmental audit/assessment of your home. In fact, my partner Brian Maury & I will be offering free home energy audits to any client who purchases a home in 2010.
Together, our collective efforts to improve energy efficiency, reduce our carbon foorprint and promote sustainability will make a difference in our community and throughout the world.
